Below  you will find the overview of the academic year outline & enrollment options that are offered, including financial details and the specifics by grade level/early childhood programming. We hope this information provides you and your family the details needed to make your enrollment decisions.  Please note that application, registration, and supply fee information is not included in this document but is listed in the program information below.

Early Childhood Programs

Me & My Baby Class
Child’s age:
  This class is for babies 6 to 16 months old and their parent or other adult caregiver.
Application fee:  $0
Tuition:  $225 total per 9-week session, one 75-minute class per week.  Registration & supply fees are included in tuition price.  Tuition is due in full at the time of enrollment.

Parent/Child Classes
Child’s age:  This class is for children 17 months old or older and their parent or other adult caregiver.
Application fee:  $0
Tuition:  $295 total per 9-week session, one two-hour class per week.  Registration & supply fees are included in tuition price.  Tuition is due in full at the time of enrollment.

3-Day Parent Participation Preschool Classes
Minimum age:  Child should be 3 or 4 years old, or close to turning 3, at the start of the school year.  Child must be potty trained.
Class days:  Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday (Sweet Pea class) OR Wednesday/Thursday/Friday (Poppy class)
Class time:  9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Application fee:  $100, or $50 for siblings of previous applicants to the school (nonrefundable).
Dues: $6,250 annually, payable in 1, 10, or 12 installments.  Payments are due on the 1st or 15th of the month (family’s choice).
Registration fees:  $390 annual fee is due at the time of enrollment and is nonrefundable.
Supply fees:  $99 annual fee is due at the time of enrollment and is nonrefundable.
Parent participation requirements:  At least one parent/guardian or other adult relative per student works in the classroom approximately once per month.  TB test results and LiveScan background checks are required for each individual working in the classroom.

5-Day Kindergarten Classes
Minimum age:  Child must turn 5 by June of their first year of kindergarten (ETK).
Class days:  Monday through Friday
Class time:  8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Application fee:  $100, or $50 for siblings of previous applicants to the school (nonrefundable).

Extended Day Programs

Please note that the following applied to the 2019-2020 school year; Extended Care is not currently available for the 2020-2021 school year due to COVID-19.

We are excited to announce a revised extended day fee structure that will help make services more affordable for our community. This year we are introducing an Extended Care Annual Pass for Grades students & siblings. This will allow families to utilize our Extended Care services for the entire year 7:30a.m.-5:30 p.m. for one low, paid upfront, non-refundable annual cost paid by Friday, September 14th.  Due to capacity constraints, a limited amount of Annual Passes are available to sell.  We recommend that you purchase your Annual Pass ASAP. We will develop a waitlist if we have excess demand.  Families on the waitlist will pay regular list price per hour/day until an Annual Pass becomes available to purchase.

Annual Pass:  We offer a Lower Grades (1st-5th), Sibling Lower Grades, and Upper Grades (6th-8th).  This is our most economical option and allows drop-off at 7:30 a.m., pick-up by 5:30 p.m.  Upfront payment is non-refundable.

Morning Care is available to children in Kindergarten and the Grades, Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:30 a.m for grades and 8:00 for Kindergarten.  No reservations are needed for Morning Care; simply sign in your child with the Morning Care teacher when you arrive.

Morning Care is free for all Grades students from 8:00- 8:30 a.m.  For Kindergarten students dropped off prior to 8:30 a.m., there will be a flat $3 charge per day, per child. For grade students dropped prior to 8:00 a.m., there will be a flat $3 charge per day, per child.

Aftercare is available to all students (Preschool, Kindergarten and Grades), Monday through Friday.  Due to capacity constraints, we highly suggest making a reservation in advance to secure a spot in aftercare.

Early Childhood Aftercare is a 2-hour program from 1:15-3:15 p.m. with a day rate of $14 per child, reservation by 10 a.m. required or $24 day rate.  No prorations of this day rate. Space is limited, standing reservations are suggested. High demand may make drop-in spots unavailable.  Preschoolers must be picked up by 3:15 p.m. Kindergarteners can transfer to the Grades Aftercare at 3:15 p.m. with reservation only due to space constraints.  See chart for Grades Aftercare hourly rates. Unannounced transfer to Grades aftercare will be $11 per hour.

Standing reservations for Grades Aftercare are available on a monthly basis at the rate of $7 per hour (additional siblings at $2 per hour).  To create a standing reservation, please fill out an Aftercare contract with the front office. Standing reservations are binding and will be paid in advance.

Grades Drop-in students can be accommodate as space permits, but the office must be notified before 1:00 p.m.  The drop-in rate is $9 per hour (additional siblings at $2 per hour).

Grades Unannounced drop-ins will be charged at a rate of $11 per hour (additional siblings at $2 per hour), no proration by quarter hour will apply to Unannounced drop-ins.

Aftercare begins as soon as classes are dismissed and is available until 3:15 p.m. for Preschoolers and 5:30 p.m. for Kindergarten and Grades students.  Students who are picked up after 5:30 p.m., will be charged a late fee of $25.  Repeated late pick-ups from Aftercare may result in loss of Aftercare privileges at the Administration’s discretion.

All class dismissal times have a 10-minute grace period.  Any children who have not been picked up by the end of the 10-minute grace period will be signed in to Aftercare, and unannounced drop-in Aftercare charges will apply starting at the time of dismissal.

Sibling Discounts

Younger siblings of currently enrolled students who are enrolled in Preschool through 8th Grade receive the following sibling discounts:

  • 10% off for the second child
  • 15% off for the third child
  • 20% off for the fourth and further children

Sibling discounts apply to tuition only and are not applicable for registration or supply fees. There is no sibling discount for children enrolled in Me & My Baby or Parent/Child classes. Discounts will be applied from the oldest child to the youngest.  Please note that sibling discounts are only applicable for in-person on-campus learning and do not apply to distance learning or in-person outdoor tuition rates.  Click here for more information.

Tuition Adjustment

Each family’s financial contribution to the school is important, and every child’s tuition adds to the welfare of our community. The primary responsibility for financing a child’s education rests with the family, and we seek families who are committed to making this important investment in their child’s future. We also believe that a Waldorf education should be available to any child, regardless of financial circumstance. It is the intention and policy of Maple Village Waldorf School to welcome students from the broadest possible range of the social, economic, and cultural spectrum. A diverse community benefits all of our students, staff and faculty. We balance this belief with the practical realities of our school’s financial requirements and needs, thus many factors come into play when tuition adjustment decisions are made. Applications for Tuition Adjustment are not automatically approved.

Tuition Adjustment is currently only available to families with at least one student applying for Grades 1 through 8 and is adjusted on a case-by-case basis. There is no Tuition Adjustment available for Early Childhood families at this time.

Tuition Adjustment Application Process:

  1. Submit a Grades application for your child (new students only). TA applications will not be processed until your student has completed the admissions process and has been accepted to MVWS.
  2. Go to MyTADS.com and fill out the tuition adjustment application, including a Proposed Tuition Offer Letter.
  3. TADS will follow up with your application and request any missing items.
  4. The MVWS Board of Trustees will review your offer and TADS’ report.
  5. A letter will be sent to you via email stating your tuition adjustment for the new school year.
  6. E-mail any questions to Alice Stevens. TADS also offers customer service support through their website.
  7. Please note that a new tuition adjustment application must be submitted every school year with updated financial information.

Please Note:  While the tuition adjustment application period for the 2020-2021 school year is formally closed, new student TA applications are still being considered for a maximum tuition reduction of 15%.  To apply, please follow the steps listed above.
